Grade 9
Students in the 9th grade will work on all skills but will focus on the following: Establishing long and short term goals Setting challenging personal and academic goals Vigorous pursuit of goal Reflecting deeply on results of actions towards goals Accepting responsibility for personal actions and behavior, and working to make amends for damage done Following through on personal commitments and obligations Reflecting, assisting, and responding to authority Demonstrating emotional maturity and well-balanced Always representing the work of self and others in an honest fashion |
Grade 10
Students in the 10th grade will work on all skills but will focus on the following skill: Establishing long and short term goals Setting challenging personal and academic goals Vigorously pursuing goals Reflecting deeply on results of actions towards goals Maintaining good academic standing towards graduation Taking initiative Relishing new experiences Maintaining a healthy lifestyle Dedicating oneself to tasks Taking responsibility for personal performance (not blaming others) Self-assessing ones performance fully and skillfully |
Grade 11
Students in the 11th grade will work on all skills but will focus on the following: Establishing long and short term goals Setting challenging personal and academic goals Vigorously pursuing goals Reflecting deeply on results of actions towards goals Demonstrating social responsibility (being sensitive to how one's actions impact others) Refraining from the use of insults or prejudicial remarks Respecting and accepting all members of the community Successfully engaging in positive interactions with those who have different views Welcoming and valuing diversity Respecting other's wishes regarding personal and physical space Actively seeking to learn about other people's values, beliefs, and cultures |
Grade 12
