Communication
Objective: Students will discuss how different forms of communication can impact other people. Students will consider how offensive remarks, prejudgments, and stereotypes hurt people and get in the way of people working together. Students will practice using self-awareness to become more conscious of the message their verbal language and body language conveys. Students will have an opportunity to share experiences of feeling prejudged or realizing they have prejudged others. Students will practice using appropriate communication with one another.
Learning Target: I can describe at least 2 non-offensive ways to communicate an interest in someone else's culture or lifestyle.
